Cash For Kids Superhero Day

So, the Radio Station I listen to Clyde 1 was doing a Superhero day to raise funds for Cash For Kids.
The plan is get your co-workers to turn up at work dressed as a Superhero or in a Superhero theme.

I thought this would have been fun. So sent out the memo, put up the posters and started things rolling.

To get people to part with more cash on the day. I made up sweetie cups & cones and also designed some Superhero panels to fit onto handmade boxes. In these boxes the treats were a bit more special. Luxury Caramels and delicious fudge.

The day was so much fun, everything sold and I managed to raise £445 for cash for kids so I was over the moon.

So here are my goodies. The Handmade boxes were made using Tonic Studios Balloon Weigh Box die, the graphics for the panels were done by me in a graphics program.

Thanks for dropping by and having a look

Win & Tonic Challenge

Today sees the launch of a brand new challenge blog - Win & Tonic.

It’s run by Dawny Phillips and Alison Whelan and is going to be sponsored by the very generous Tonic Studios and this month you're guaranteed a very large WIN!.
The purpose of this monthly challenge is, we hope, to inspire you with lots of lovely ideas and maybe different ways to use your Tonic dies and Nuvo products, and best of all there are some amazing prizes up for grabs for one lucky winner each month.
The challenge is open to everybody whether you have a blog or not, and the winners will always be chosen at random, so don’t be put off if you’re a beginner or worry that you’re not good enough!
The winner will be announced on 14th of each month, the day before the challenge goes live with the next challenge, and your entries must be in by close of play on 13th of the month, please :)
There will be  theme each month but for the first it has been decided to keep it nice and easy and make it ‘Anything Goes’. This means that you're free to make whatever you want, and as long as it contains something Tonic you'll be entered into the draw for the prize.

This card was created for the Win & Tonic challenge.

How it was made
  • Score and fold an A4 card to make A5 card
  • Created background using Tonic Patterned Panels Deco Diamond Die
  • Matted onto Purple card slightly smaller than the card blank
  • Made a matching purple frame and mounted it using foam tape
  • Cut out Tonic Memento Frame Die – Gift Of Love  in both Purple and white cardstock
  • Mounted with foam pads
  • Flowers made using Tonic Beautiful Blooms Woodland Aster dies
  • Corners are finished off using Tonic Nuvo drops
Thanks for dropping by.

Tonic Art Deco Wedding

Another Wedding Invitation. This is the last for a while. I promise.

I really like this which is strange as I'm not a big Art Deco lover.

DL card with Tonic Art Deco die. One of the things I love about Tonic is the do Verso dies which meands you get the outer die and the inner which makes matting and layering  a dream.
Stamped the sentiment and cut using a die from Tattered Lace stepper set.
Finished with a few pearils.

Thanks for looking x

This card is so simple but I think very elegant.

Used a 6x6 inch card base, embossed with a Embossalicious embossing folder, sut label using die from Tattered Lace stepper set and stampped the sentiment, a few pearils and done.

I hope you likeit.

Thanks for dropping by x

Wedding Set

I created these as a sample for a couple we know.

Not sure if they liked them, aren't some people rude.

Oh well I think they are fab.

All cards except the small thank you card are made using Tonic Dies, the thank you is a Sue Wilson die.

Thanks for dropping by

Sympathy Card

I made this card as I make boxes of cards for my Mother and Mother-In-Law.

Not the nicest of cards to make but like to have a few in the mix.

The background was made using a Sue Wilson strip die, Sympathy is a die and center of the flowers were done using Tonic Nuvo drops

We're Tying the Knot Cards

I was asked to do some samples of Wedding Cards. Hmm, not my bag and to be honest I don't normally do Wedding invites etc. Batch making and me don't get on and if I'm brutally honest I can't be bothered with Brides and their demands. I feel they will pay £4 for a horrendous mass printed thing but they want hand crafted bespoke cards for about £1.

Anyhoo here is a few simple We're Tying the Knot cards in various colours.

Tonic Twisted Veranda

Hi Crafters

This is a card I made for my lovely work friends birthday.

I used Tonic Twisted Veranda die, firmly becoming a favorite of mine.
I used glitter card from B&M stores after other crafters had recommended it.

Here is the end result, she was delighted with it.

I hope you like it too. Thanks for looking.
