Tonic Rose frame

A simple card but I think it is very effective. I may make a few of these and keep them in my collection for unexpected occasions.

  • 8x8 scalloped card
  • Cut pearlised white card and embossed using Tonic embossing folder
  • I gutted another piece of pearlised card in mulberry colour and matted and layer white onto it
  • On the section I removed during gutting I cut out Tonic Rose frame
  • Then cut out 4 Rose corners
  • Assembled then cut out with love using Tonic sentiment die twice, on in white and one in mulbery colour to give a shadow.
  • Finished off with a few flat backed pearls

  • Cut out 2 strips of white and 2 strips of pink card then used Tonic border punch to punch out design
  • Placed them on outer edge of card
  • Matted and layered the topper onto white and pink card to tie in the colours
  • Cut out Tonic sentiment
  • Finished off with a bow

  • Used double sided adhesive placed it onto card and die cut usingTonic frame and corners.
  •  Indigoblu Megaflake Royal Peacock on the frame and corners
  • Centre is Tonic butterflies, cut out three and added some stickles to the wings.

Bird House Embossing Folder

I just had to pick up this embossing folder from DieSire . The folder itself is 6x6. This is a really simple card. Basically I just embossed then coloured with Pan Pastels. I am not too confident using the pastels as I haven't had much practice so hopefully with a bit of effort I will get better but must admit getting too messy during crafting annoys me. To bring out the design I then matted and layered using my trusty Perfect layers rulers. Finishing it off with a sentiment which I cut using Tattered lace dies.

50th Birthday Card

I cut the 50 out of cuttlebug dies I have had in my stash for a while.

Added a few pearls and a bow, sentiment is one I made on graphics program

Tonic and Tattered Lace

Again with a pink theme ( I found I had a good few sheets of this) I made this card using Tonic Dies. The Wedding couple and sentiment are Tattered Lace.

I made the flowers using a flower punch, the centres are made using a blob of pinflair glue then nail caviar poured over while wet.

Tonic Punch card In the Pink

Pink isn't my first choice of colours to craft with or wear etc. But after a massive craft clear out I now have all my card and paper organised so it's all in the once place so I discovered card long forgotten.

I had new Tonic punches to use so this is what I cam up with. The sentiment is made using Tattered Lace sentiments.

I know Tonic again...

I think I warned in previous posts I was going through a Tonic Love Affair (or addiction)

So in keeping with that, here is another card made using Tonic dies and punches. Sorry I am not listing them. I am trying to update my blog in one sitting and I am away from my stash so off the top of my head couldn't name them.

Another Tonic Die creation

Another one of my cards using the fab Tonic Dies. This card had to be reworked after my African Grey Parrot Bobby decided to go a little sight seeing around the room, landed on my craft table and left a little embellishment of his own on my card.

He did me a favour as the middle circular die cut was orange so I think it is better in white.

Teacher and Janitor milk carton Boxes

I designed these boxes as an end of term gift for my son to give to his teacher and janitor.

I filled one with chocolates and the other with teas, coffees, biscuits mints and a teachers revival kit.

They were very well received

I made this easel card, cut the base with spellbinders Grand nesties, then used Tonic dies  for the descorative feature. Sorry can't give the exact name as I am away from my craft stash. Added a gold ribbon and a few flowers to finish it off. It is very blingy but hey sometimes you need to get out of your comfort zone

Tonic with Debbie Moore Topper

I am not a fan of Debbie Moore's stuff however a friend gifted me a magazine so thought I better use some of the toppers.

On this card I used a Tonic die as the base for the topper. Matted and layered added a few gems and a die cut sentiment that came with the magazine. Finished off with some stickles

Tonic Sentiment Dies

In the midst of a love affair with Tonic dies at the moment. I made these ubber simple cards after finding a pack of 7x5 card blanks and envelopes that I have had for years in the cupboard (yes years)

I am not one for batch card making. I have the attention spand of a goldfish so not something I enjoy. But I made it my mission to make use out of these card blanks and fast.  it was either that or they went to the recycling bin.

So here they are, simple as can be, a little matting and layering then the beautiful Tonic Sentiments.
I think I would actually use these as not everyone likes a full blown hand made card.

Leather Flowers

I got the Ebosser to make my life easier as turning the Grand Callibur handle played havoc with my neck and shoulder. I had a bad tear years ago so it does play up anyway but using a manual machine reaaly doesn't bode well.

After it promised to cut leather etc, I decided to give it a go. I got spare off cuts of leather at work (lucky girl) and used  the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die made by Sizzix.

Cut brilliantly with one pass. Here are a few of the flowers I made.

Tattered Lace Cat card

This is a card I made for a friend at work who is very fond of cats (me too)
This is a tattered lace cat die, all the tattered lace dies that I have cut brilliantly, no messing with wax papers (who can be bothered with that)

Minecraft card

I designed this card for my sons friend. I know at 11 and 12 they don't want a hand crafter card (not cool)
So with knowing he was a huge minecraft fan, this is what I come up with.

I am luck to work in a large Professional Photographic Lab so to make this extra special I got the printers to print me off a copy.

To say he was happy was an understatement. Who wouldn't want a professionally designed and printed one off card?

Minecraft Boxes

My son is Minecraft daft as are his friends. For anyone unfamiliar or who doesn't have a child, it is a computer game with blocky graphics that they are all mad for it.

As I offer a range of pre-designed Milk carton boxes on my website I decided to make some for him and his friends. I don't sell these Minecraft designs as it is a Trade mark.

I did make a few however to fill full of sweet treats to give to friends. They love them, maybe even more than the sweets inside.

Card and Milk Carton Box

My MIL asked me to do a card and box for their Locum minister who was moving on to a permanant Church. I have a bit of a passion for Milk carton boxes at the moment as they come in so handy to put little treats in.

On the card I used Tonic corner dies and a spellbinder cross die, also embossed the backing card and matted onto gold.

Cat Stamp Coloured with Pro-Markers

I have had this cat stamp for years, bought it off QVC. I adore it. I don't do much colouring even though I invested in a fair amount of Pro-Markers. I always mean to sit and practice but there is always something else which grabs my attention.

House Mouse and Tonic

I got the House Mouse triple CD from Joanna Sheen after seeing many lovely images of the little mice. The CDs are stunning and loads of images that I will use for many occasions. I used an 8x8 card, matted and layered the paper which was matched to the topper sheet, cut out a decorative strip using a Tonic punch, added ribbon, a bow, a few pearls and finished off with a sentiment also on the sheet.
