Simple Katy Sue Card

I decided to start my craft session with great plans, a bunch of ink, stamps and masks. It went horribly wrong and very messy with a bit of swearing thrown in. Not good!
So in the end, I cleared up the mess and created this simple card using a topper from Katy Sue's Fabulous Shoes disk.
Sentiment was one I had designed, printed off and cut out using a 2inch circle punch, added a strip of black card and a few pearls.

First Attempt with Inkylicious Ink Dusters

My first attempt at using Inkylicious ink dusters. I got them a few months ago and hadn't had time to use them.
I am happy with how this turned out. I used an Inkylicious stamp and although I like it when I finally managed a good impression, I found stamping with it problematic. I tried stamping on top of a pile of photocopier paper, didn't get a good impression, tried on top of a mouse mat, still not a good impression. Ended up as last straw before I threw it in the bid stamping on top of a pad of funky foam.
Shouldn't be that hard to get a decent impression. I like the dusters, I only have two stamps by this company and I do like once I stamp with them but don't think I will buy more for this purpose. No other stamp has caused me this bother. Shame as they are nice designs.
The sentiment I got from a Personal Impressions set (I think)

Dad Card

I made this card for my dads Birthday.
8x8 card, I matted and layered a piece of card which had been embossed. I then used some Viva D├ęcor Inka Gold to rub over the design to bring it out.
Die cut a shape and stamped Dad on it, layered onto a piece of card. I printed out a sentiment I had designed, then distressed with some distressed ink.
Used Viva Pearl pen for the pearls, they look a gloopy in the picture, my fault as I tilted to photograph before they were dry.
