Another Kraftin Kimmie Card

Hi crafters. Here is another card I made using Kraftin Kimmie Dormouse stamp. I have put it on a 8x8 scalloped card, the dies are Nellie Snellen. I coloured the ribbon to tone in with Pro Markers and the buttons  have been hand made by me and my 10 year old son using Fimo. I am not sure if there is something missing from this one, sometime less is best.

Thanks for dropping by.

Kraftin Kimmie Card

Hi crafters. I have been off work for a few days as I have the dreaded "Lurgy". Not been feeling too great but as I was lying around I thought I would get the pro markers out and have a play. I put the base of the card together a week or so ago as I was playing with the new Perfect Layers Rulers (love them). I also used a Creative Expressions mask and coloured with Pan Pastels. The image is Kraftin Kimmie Yvette. As said, I coloured in with Pro Markers, I bought such a lot of these and do love them but I feel I just need to practice more to get better especially with skin tones and hair. I must admit I was inspired by Sarah Hurley's demos, like that she never did the colours to death and make everything look muddy. Anyway, I digress! To finish off the card I added some flowers and some Spellbinders Shapabilites Floral Flourishes just to bring it all together.
I hope you like it

Free Valentine Pillow Box

Hello lovely crafters. I have shared some papers but for those who need a quick, inexpensive way to package choccies, scarf, CD, DVD a pillow box  is ideal. I would like to share this pillow box.
It is Free for Personal Use, not to be resold on or claimed as your own.
I have included 2 different fronts and a back, of course you can mix and match or just do two backs and decorate how you wish. You need to print out 2, cut out, score and fold on the dashed lines and assemble with either strong double sided (I would suggest the red stuff) or your choice of strong fast drying glue.
Have fun
And a quick thank you is always appreciated

Some Fimo Buttons

A horrible snowy day here today. After finding a bag of various opened colours of Fimo which I had bought months ago for my son and I to play with, I thought it best to put it to some crafty use. By goodness it was tough, as it had been opened for a while and nope I hadn't stored in a sealed plastic bag (probably cleared away in a hurry). I bought a rubber button mould which can be used for icing, chocolate and of course clay.  So here are some buttons my son Adam and I made this afternoon. I will use them on my cards, a few mixtures of colours which I think have turned out quite nice and a few have a sparkle through them, not sure if it shows up in the picture.

Batman Invertage

I forgot I had some DC Comics sheets. I got them when we were doing Summer Crafting at Doncaster last year. I thought my son would have liked to have crafted with them, but well, he is more into playing Minecraft that crafting ha ha.
For this card I used the following.

  • 8x8 scalloped card blank
  • I used Creative Expressions Mask and embossed with Grand Callibre
  • Coloured with Pan Pastels
  • Mated and layered onto white then turquoise card
  • I cut another two mats to fill the card
  • I used the few thin off cuts of card to add a decorative touch to the bottom right
  • Took plain white Card Candy and found a matching promarker to colour them so they matched the turquoise card
  • Added the Invertage onto the card
This is another card which will get a sentiment added when I have a recipient for it.

I hope you like and thanks for looking xxx

3d Flower Play

Hello bloggers. Aren't I rubbish at this blogging malarky? Truth is I am just so busy it is hard to find the time to blog.
The card I a sharing is from some ones I did at Christmas, although I still have one of them left. I will use for another occasion, when the time comes I will put an appropriate sentiment on it to suit the occasion.

  • 8x8 scalloped card blank
  • I cut a brushed gold piece of card with Grand Nestie
  • I cut out a fancy frame on my Pazzles Inspiration
  • I cut another mat and embossed using embossing folder.
  • I cut out five layered flowers and shaped with a large ball tool
  • Assembled flowers using glue gel
  • Sprayed the flower with gold glitter spray
  • Used gold sparkle ribbon to embelish
The card will get a sentiment added when I am ready to give it to someone.

Thanks for looking x
