Hello fellow bloggers. What can I say? It has been a while. Life has been busy with work and family life and I must admit that my craft mojo has taken a bit of a dive. Well! what I mean is, I plan through the day different ideas of crafty creations but by the time I get everything done at work then at home it is usually time to go to bed. I bet that rings a bell with a few of you out there. Anyway I have 2 cards to share with you. Both are for my lovely mother in law, whose birthday is on November 1st. One from my hubby and I and the other is for my son to give. I dusted off my Foil it all machine and foiled the text on the front and used some nesties and flowers to embellish. I hope you like them as I feel a bit rusty.
Well what a week it has been so far. With a giveaway on facebook every day until Friday.
So far the winners have been
Sandra Glover winning - A Touch of Jazz
Sharon Smith winning - Pixie Dreams
Michelle Smith winning - Christmas & Chips
Katherine Kerry winning - Fairy Delights
All the winners are picked fairly, I get everyones name, allocate a number against each name then use a Random number generator to pick a number.
Not a bad competition for a wee one woman business now is it?
Thanks for everyone who is joining in the fun x
To celebrate the fact that we have reached 1000 friends on Facebook we thought we would celebrate every day until Friday with a Giveaway each day. I think it is a fab idea, but I am bias because, it was my idea after all.
The winner of the first Giveaway was announced earlier on and is Sandra Glover, she wins our newest disk A Touch of Jazz. Well done Sandra, I hope you have hrs of crafting with it, it is a super disk with loads of templates and easel card templates too.
So, we go to day 2. On offer is the gorgeous disk Pixie Dreams. I love this disk, the characters are so adorable, vibrant colours and the papers are lush. So what are you waiting on go to our Facebook page or Facebook Fan page, all you need to do is follow the simple instructions to be in with a chance.
It has been a few weeks since out new CD A Touch of Jazz was released. Pop over to our facebook and follow the instructions on the post titled Giveaway Giveaway to be in with a chance to win copy. https://www.facebook.com/craftycatz.craftcds?ref=tn_tnmn remember to share the post on your wall and leave a comment under the post on Crafty Catz CD's wall too.
Ok, so every now and then it seems like a good idea to have a special offer or 2. Well I have decided that I wanted this one to be a bit bonkers. So with that I have reduced a lot of our CD's to £3.00, yes £3.00, for a limited period only, any lower and I would be giving them away.
Pop over to our website and have a look, bare in mind that a lot of these disks used to be £14.99 so you are getting a real bargain. Go to the Crafty Catz website here
Our new CD A Touch of Jazz in now available for £ 9.99 and has been going down a storm. In this range we have A Touch of Class and A Touch of Steampunk so decided to compliment this range A Touch of Jazz would go very nicely.
Again as always when designing I get carried away and always like to keep adding, these are very tough times so it is nice to get great value for money. This disk boasts all the usual Crafty Catz favorites, beautiful papers, decoupage, text editable inserts, embellishments but a really great feature is the templates and easel card templates with matting and layering coloured shapes and toppers to match, instructions on how to assemble and a printout diagram to pop in with your home made creation to show non crafter how to display it.

I had loads of 3D flowers made up from our CD Fabulous Flowers, they were in a box and had been used at shows to demo how they looked when assembled. Spruced them up with a wee bit glitter spray as a few had a few signs of wear. The spray made them look fab again. So I have put them onto cards and just been using spare peel offs that I never thought would get used. I still need to add a few leaves on some once I print or die cut some. But I think these will sell well for Charity as they are simple and clean. 19 in just over an hr and a half, never been hear of before for me, mind you the flowers were already assembled lol.
I was having a clear out and found a folder with demos I had prepared when I was on Create and Craft, they ask you to prepare at least 4 but then time runs away from you and you never get time. They have been lying for goodness knows how long waiting to be assembled. So I have put them together and I will add them to the pile that will be going to charity.
The images are from the following disks
More Than Pets
Got It Covered
and Happy Hoppers
These are some of our older disks but I had a lovely few hrs assembling them.
I don't do card commisions, but my Mother-In-Law has adopted me as her personal card maker. The spec she gave me for this one was " can you make a nice wedding card" lol. Pretty difficuilt when you don't know the couple. Well they are in their 60s and this isn't their first time around, that's all I know.
I am quite pleased with how it turned out. Just waiting on it to dry then I can give it to her so fingers crossed she likes it, if not Clintons for her lol
Got a few Grand Nestibilities to play with as I wanted to do my own scalloped cards and had my eye on them for a wee while. Anyway managed another few cards for the Charity pile. I am trying to make them quick, easy and not too complicated but hopefully ones that look good enough to sell. As they are for Charity I don't want to spend an hr a card as I would like to get as many made in the spare time I have because I know that they won't expect the customers to pay loads for them. So with that in mind I prefer to make a quality but also in quantity. Hope that makes sense.
Here are some cards I have made from the stamped elephants. These are part of some batch cards that I will be donating to charity. Very pleased I managed 6 in one afternoon. I know they aren't the most intriate cards but hopefully they will be able to sell to raise money. Will do more when I get some more free time.
Here are some of the Elephants I stamped and had a wee play with my new fleximarkers. Going to be doing some batch card making for Charity cards. I have had these stamps for ages so thought I would use them.
The next step is to make them into cards. I was going to do that tonight but kind of ran out of steam and time.
Can't believe where the time goes. I have made a resolution this year to batch card make and once I have 50 or so send them to CHAS to help raise funds. For those not familiar with CHAS click here for the link. I feel with the amount of stash that I have, I really should be using it to help others. Anyway that is the plan, now I just need to get the time and be a bit disciplined about how I go about it.
On a business note, another new disk is finished but not yet on the website. It is called Bubbles and Squeak and it is using exclusive artwork from an artist called Gabry. I used her artwork for the Pixies CD and the Christmas and Chips one. The disks are away and with the wonderful ladies who design cards for me, they again are working their creative magic on it, so keep your eyes peeled for what they come up with.
Don't worry if cute isn't your thing as there are other CDs around the corner, the next one is on a different Genre altogether and as we speak I have a fab artist who has drawn some wonderful images, all that I will say is, it will cover the boys and men who are still boys at heart (them all then)
Lastly just thought I's share a picture of what I have cut out on the Grand Callibur using Nellie Snellin dies and suede. Quite pleased how it has turned out and as I have 3 huge coxes of the stuff to play with, delighted, have a look.
